Wahi Ltd. (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by our app, Wahi, available on mobile platforms. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

To create an account, we collect the following:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth

Users may sign in using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.

1.2 Usage and Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to help us understand feature usage and app stability. This includes:

  • Device information
  • Feature interaction data
  • Crash logs

1.3 User Content

Users may voluntarily submit:

  • Saved Hadiths
  • Personal notes
  • Learning progress
  • Goals related to Hadith application

This content is stored securely and is associated with your account for retrieval across sessions.

1.4 Voice Recordings (Planned Feature)

If you use the recitation feature or participate in crowdsourced data collection, your microphone input may be streamed to our servers for transcription. In some cases, we store these recordings for training our speech-to-text (STT) models.

  • All stored recordings are anonymized and used solely to improve the STT feature.
  • No audio recordings are sold or shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide core app functionality (user content, personalization)
  • Improve the app via analytics and crash reports
  • Send relevant push notifications (optional)
  • Train and improve the STT model (recordings only)

3. Push Notifications

We may send you notifications for:

  • New Hadith reminders
  • Goal progress reminders
  • Feature announcements

You may opt out of these notifications through your device settings or in-app preferences. To ensure timely delivery, we may store your timezone.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

  • All associated data (notes, recordings, saved Hadiths, goals) is permanently deleted from our systems.
  • Supabase may retain backup copies for a limited period per their internal policies.

To request account deletion, you may do so through the app or contact us at team@wahiapp.com.

5. Data Security

We use Supabase, a managed backend service that encrypts data at rest and in transit. While we rely on Supabase’s security practices, we also take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our app is suitable for users of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent where required by law.

7. Sharing of Data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Your information is shared only as needed with trusted third-party services we use to operate the app, namely:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications)

We do not share your recordings or notes with any third parties.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app or on our website, and we encourage users to review the policy periodically.
